If your little one is struggling with sore gums from teething, offering them a teething popsicle can help bring them comfort. With the cold temperature of the popsicle offering pain relief, coupled with the gumming that popsicle textures typically encourage from little ones, teething pops are perfect for baby's gums and can offer them much needed relief. By intentionally selecting organic fruits and veggies to blend into their popsicle, this little teething treat can even offer extra nutrition at the same time! Here are a few organic baby food recipes to try next time your baby shows signs of a new tooth popping through.

Before You Begin
As you prepare to whip up these recipes, you will want to have a few kitchen items on hand to make the preparation process a breeze. You will also want to be sure that you wash all of the produce well before using and always monitor your baby while eating to be sure that any bits of popsicle pieces that break off do not pose a choking risk. If your little one has not yet started solids or has not yet reached 6 months of age, it is best to wait until they are a bit older to enjoy these. If you have any questions about whether or not your baby is ready to try a teething popsicle, be sure to check with their care provider.
Once you are ready, here are some materials to get you started:
- A strainer for washing fruits and veggies
- Peeler and knife
- Freezer safe popsicle mold
- You may want to purchase a baby specific popsicle holder. They are made to only allow a small amount of the popsicle into the baby's mouth at a time, while still allowing them to taste it and feel the cold texture. This is a great product to get if your little one is not accustomed to chewing yet and it makes freezing and serving each recipe easier.

Recipes
From super simple recipes...to bright and colorful ones! We hope these ideas inspire you to get cooking.
Rainbow Baby Teething Popsicle
This recipe combines bold colors from fruits and veggies to create a rainbow pattern! They are pretty yet practical for soothing sore gums.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup organic strawberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup organic kiwi, chopped
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup coconut water
To Make:
- Wash, dry and chop all fruit
- Place one of the fruits into a blender with a splash of the coconut water and pulse until smooth, then set aside. You will want to repeat this step separately for each fruit and give the blender a good rinse between fruits to try and avoid colors from mixing together.
- Once all fruits have been mixed, layer them carefully into the popsicle mold.
- Place mold in the freezer for about 4 hours or until desired frozen consistency is reached.
- Serve and enjoy!

Frozen Yogurt Pop
This next recipe is easy to prep with just one ingredient, and it is perfect if you are under a time crunch! Simply select your favorite brand of baby yogurt and get started.
Ingredients:
- 1 yogurt cup of your preferred baby yogurt brand
To Make:
- Spoon the baby yogurt into the popsicle mold and place it into the freezer.
- Allow it to freeze for 4-6 hours then remove and serve!

Turmeric Teething Popsicle
This next one does leave a bit of mess as it is colorful and can stain. We recommend serving while the baby is sans shirt...or in an outfit and bib that can get messy! Turmeric is known to help offer natural pain relief, which is ideal for teething.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup organic banana, mashed
- 1/4 cup organic coconut water
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
To Make:
- Place all ingredients in a blender and pulse until smooth
- Spoon mixture into a popsicle mold and place in freezer until frozen
- Serve

Frozen Fruit & Veggie Medley With Milk
This last recipe is more of a frozen ice cream treat than it is a popsicle. It is also an easy recipe to make as it uses your favorite baby food puree pouches combined with organic baby formula.
Ingredients:
- 1 pouch preferred organic fruit puree
- 1 pouch preferred organic veggie puree
- 1/4 cup organic baby formula
To Make:
- Combine both pouches into a freezer safe bowl and mix together
- Place into the freezer and allow to sit for about 4 hours until mixture is cold and slightly frozen
- Once removed from the freezer, blend the baby formula into the mixture and serve immediately with a spoon! (Note that it is not recommended to freeze prepared formula, but adding it to the purees before serving can offer all of the nutritional goodness of organic baby formula in a safe way!)
