Your Little Honey Bunny's Very First Easter

Your Little Honey Bunny's Very First Easter

March 11, 2021

There is something so special about a baby's first Easter! From dressing them up to capturing themed photos, putting together a basket and establishing traditions as a family, there are so many ways to celebrate this special holiday. We have compiled a few ideas to help make baby's first Easter a memorable one!

Baby's first Easter

Dressing babies for their very first Easter is so very sweet! From bonnets and dresses for baby girls, to powder blue outfits and bowties for boys...there is simply nothing sweeter than dressing your baby for a special occasion! Perhaps you have a special hand me down that you would love for your baby to wear, or maybe you look forward to selecting a new piece for baby's wardrobe. Either way, selecting a dressy baby outfit for Easter is a beautiful way to set this day aside from the others.

Baby Easter

Dressing up baby is the perfect time to snap some keepsake photos for the baby book! Scatter a few Easter eggs about on the lawn, or prop baby up with a little stuffed bunny. Perhaps you could even set the baby in a large Easter basket atop a cozy blanket for a precious photo op. Springtime is usually full of sunny days, so incorporating brightly colored props into Easter photos is so fun! Capture some photos that you can hold onto and look back on for years to come.

Newborn Easter Basket

While your baby may be too young to enjoy egg hunts just yet, and they likely won't remember if they get their very own basket, preparing something simple is a sweet way to mark their first Easter! Fill a small basket with a bright new teether and place a couple of plastic Easter eggs inside for them to explore.

You could even fill plastic eggs with some teething puffs if your baby has already started solids. While it does not need to be extravagant, preparing a baby friendly Easter basket is sure to bring them some smiles!

Lastly, Easter is a holiday that is perfect for establishing family traditions. Heading to church, spending time with grandparents, coloring eggs and preparing a meal as a family are all wonderful ways to celebrate this day. Building traditions as a young new family is such a gift!

Every holiday with a baby is one to be cherished and our hope is that these ideas will help you to make memories this coming Easter. How do you celebrate Easter as a family? Let us know below!
