Why we chose to become Holle Baby Food distributors

Being parents of two, we know that the best thing for a baby is to be breastfed by their mother. It is the most efficient way a baby’s body obtains the nutrients that it needs for healthy growth, but in every infant’s life there comes a time where breast milk may not be enough anymore and it's time to find a formula. At this point most parents are completely overwhelmed with the many choices out there. Which formula is the best?

After a lot of research we came across Holle and it quickly became one of our absolute favorite formulas.

So what is Holle and why do we love it so much?

Holle is one of the leading manufacturers of organic baby food. Nowhere else are quality expectations higher than with Holle’s baby food products, manufactured with close connections to biodynamic agriculture.

Founded in 1933 in Alsheim, Germany, Holle is the oldest organic baby food manufacturers in Europe. Holle’s philosophy is based on anthroposophical dietary principles and biodynamic quality, uncompromisingly rejecting chemical processing and preservatives. Today Holle baby food only uses raw ingredients from biodynamic or organic agriculture.

Holle offers a wide range of Demeter products like porridges, baby milk formula, including goat’s milk, that can be bought on our online shop.

The production for Holle baby formula milk and baby porridges takes place in Germany and is 100% organic in its farming practices. Production lines are modern using the newest technology and are ISO certified. The grain used for their porridges grows in healthy soil on Demeter certified biodynamic farms in Germany.

Where can I buy Holle products in the US?

While Holle does not sell their products within the US, there are a few suppliers that import Holle products. After purchasing Holle products through these suppliers we were disappointed with both the price of the product as also the poor service, often receiving packages near the expiration date. This is how Organicbabyfood.shop was born. We import Holle baby food products directly from Germany to our offices in Texas and in California, where we personally implement strict quality control before shipping the orders to our customers across the US.
