HiPP Organic Formula Preparation Guide
Prepare HiPP baby formula using the recommended safe method. For exact scoop and water amounts for your specific HiPP product and stage, always follow the feeding chart on the label.
Step-by-Step (Recommended Method)
Boil water → cool to 158°F (70°C) → mix → cool to 98.6°F (37°C) → feed.
Wash hands. Clean and sterilize bottle, nipple, and ring before every feed.
Bring fresh drinking water to a rolling boil (about 1 minute is a common rule if unsure about water safety).
Let boiled water cool to approximately 158°F (70°C) before adding powder.
Use only the included scoop. Add level (not heaping) scoops, close, and shake until fully dissolved.
Cool to feeding temperature: 98.6°F (37°C). Test on wrist/forearm (warm, not hot).
HiPP Scoop Calculator
Enter water in oz (ml) to estimate scoops. Standard quick rule: 1 scoop per 1 oz (≈30 ml) — always confirm with your product chart.

Storage & discard
- Room temp: discard after 2 hours.
- In a cooler: use within 4 hours.
- In the fridge: use within 24 hours.
- After baby drinks from bottle: discard leftovers.
Never do this
- Do not microwave prepared formula.
- Do not use heaping scoops.
- Do not reuse unfinished bottles.
- Do not guess measurements.
Water choice (simple rules)
Water quality matters. Choose clean, low-mineral water and avoid unnecessary additives when possible.
If possible, avoid heavily fluoridated water. Many formulas already contain appropriate minerals, so extra fluoride may be unnecessary.
Have it tested for nitrates and contaminants. Boiling can kill bacteria, but it does not remove minerals or nitrates.
Best water options
When bottled water is needed, look for labels like: purified, distilled, demineralized, or reverse osmosis (low mineral content).
